How to Make... Luxury Blush Embossed Stationery

Make your own luxury Blush Embossed Stationery... its so easy!

Sometimes we finish working on a design and it blows us away. It goes without saying that this Blush Embossed Stationery design was definitely one of those. It just oozes luxury. The rich colours work so well together and it has just the right amount of detail. The best thing is that this design is pretty easy to make yourself……..the hardest thing is the bow!

Here is how to make this luxurious wedding stationery set:

INVITATION / WRAP

Here is what you will need:

1 sheet of Blush Sequin Embossed Paper  (click here)
1 1/2 sheet of Blush Pink card.  (click here)
60cm of 25mm Dusky pink ribbon.  (click here)
1 Antique Key in Silver. (click here)

OTHER THINGS YOU MIGHT NEED:
Paper Trimmer
Tape Runner or double sided tape. (click here)
Glue Gun  (click here)
You will also need Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. First of all print your wording on to Pearlised Precious Pink Card and Cut down to size. The finished size should be 12cm wide x 17cm high. You should be able to fit 2 invitations on each panel.
  2. Secondly cut a piece of Precious Pink Card 18cm x 13cm.
  3. Thirdly cut a second piece of Precious Pink Card 17.5cm x 12.5cm. Stick on top of the larger card panel.
  4. Stick your printed invitation panel on top.
  5. Cut your Pebble Embossed Paper 18cm high x 27cm wide.
  6. Place your invitation in the centre of the embossed paper and fold the sides in to the centre, making a crease along each side.
  7. Place your ribbon on a flat surface. Put your invitation (enclosed in the paper) on top of the ribbon. Making sure that the ribbon is roughly in the centre of the card, pull the loose ends around to the front and tie a knot in the centre. Thread one end of the ribbon through the loop in the Antique Key. Holding your key in place, you can now make a neat bow. It is helpful to use a small amount of glue from the glue gun to stick the loops of the bow against the ribbon. This will keep it in shape and looking nice and neat.
  8. Use a scissors to neatly trim off any the loose edges of ribbon. It looks really nice if you trim the edge of the ribbon parallel to the edges of the card (see image)
  9. Lastly you can choose to finish your work here and you will have a very striking wrapped invitation. However, as an extra special touch, we thought the flourish at the top worked really well. This is how we did it…..
Starting on the left, take the central corner of the wrap and curl it out towards the outside edge of the wrap. Form a curl that is wider at the end than it is at the start. Once you are happy with the way it looks, use your glue gun to secure it into place. You can repeat this process on the right side of the wrap.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For this favour, we simply chose first of all a nice bar of soap and wrapped it as prettily as we could.  You could use the same principle to wrap anything.
  2. Secondly measure your box and cut a piece of card that is about 1cm larger than double the width and is long enough to wrap all the way around your box / soap.
  3. Basically, if you know how to wrap a parcel, this will be a doddle.
  4. Place  your box / soap face down in the centre of the blush pink card.  Run a line of tape along one edge of the card and wrap around until it covers the box and the paper is stuck together along one edge.
  5. Turn the box to one of the sides that is currently open.  Pull the bottom of the paper up towards the top of the box and hold in place.  Fold in each side of the card until it touches the box.  Make a crease along the paper so that you have a point that can be folded down and stuck in to place.
  6. Repeat this process on the other open end.
  7. Measure your box and cut a piece of pebble embossed paper that is the the exact width of the box but long enough to wrap all the way around with about 1cm to spare.
  8. Thread your ribbon through the loop in the Wedlock charm and tie a small, neat bow. Stick this to the top front of your box using your glue gun.
  9. Place your box in the middle of the embossed paper and wrap the edges around to the front so that they meet in the middle. Use your glue gun to stick the paper together about 1cm from the bottom of the box (see image). At this point, the top of the paper will be covering the bow you just stuck in to place.
  10. The last step is starting on the left, take the top central corner of the pebble paper and curl it out towards the outside edge of the box. Form a curl that is wider at the end than it is at the start. Once you are happy with the way it looks, use your glue gun to secure it in to place. You can repeat this process on the right side of the paper.
