Our Top Ideas For Designing Wedding Favours

Eeeek...so you're wedding date is creeping closer and closer.
It's time to put together all your final finishing touches.
With a variety of wedding favours on the market, we thought we would give you some great ideas that will help your creative juices flow.

1 - WRAP IT UP!

Some wedding favours are so fabulous, all you need to do is wrap them up! Think about what you are giving to your guests and see if this option would suit you. It's a great idea for anything square or rectangle (e.g. mini chocolate bars). It will keep your costs down and by choosing a pretty paper that coordinates with your theme or colour and adding a few finishing touches, you can create a real impression without adding too much cost. (You can see an example of this in the first image)

2 - ADD YOUR OWN PERSONAL TOUCHES

Buying a blank wedding favour box is a good option. If you choose to do this, all you need to do is decorate it with your own personal touches and fill the box with some lovely goodies. This is a perfect option if you'd like to give your guests a lower cost favour (such as almond dragees or wrapped sweets). Here's an example of a favour box we've decorated:

3 - TOTALLY DIY

If you own a Die Cutting Machine (e.g. Sizzix Machine), you can buy some great dies to make your own favour boxes completely from scratch. Although the upfront expense of this may seem really high, if you have to make a large number of favour boxes, it works out to be one of the most cost effective option. It also gives you a huge scope for creativity. Check out our Sizzix Dies to see what it currently available. Here's an example of a favour box we made using Sizzix Dies and Card:

4 - COMBINE YOUR FAVOURS WITH NAME TAGS

We LOVE the idea of adding a name tag to your wedding favour. It will not only save you a lot of work, it will also make your favour even more personal. If you look at the bottom left of the picture below, you will see an example of a cone style wedding favour we've added a name tag to. The whole favour would cost less than 50p

5 - TRY A LASER CUT BOX

For an extra special finishing touch, try using a laser cut box. You can just assemble them and fill them, or add your own special finishing touches. Here's one we've added our own personal touches to:
