Beautiful DIY Rita Laser Cut Wedding Stationery with Grey Lace
Our range of beautiful DIY Rita Laser Cut Wedding Stationery has been a firm favourite since it’s launch. It’s design that’s full of fun. We took the challenge to see if we could create something that captured this sense of fun but in a very elegant way. We loved the results. Combining the bold pattern with the subtle grey lace gives the perfect finish.
Although we love the use of the understated grey, you can easily change the colour or print of the backing paper to suit your theme.
Here’s how we made them:

Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut 4 pieces of Chantilly Lace Grey Paper 5.5cm x 5.5cm. With the favour box flat and facing down, use your tape runner to stick the lace paper behind each square panel of the favour box (so that the patten will face out when you fold it in to place).
Choose one of the panels and fold the top into a triangle along the lines. Draw an outline of this on to a stiff piece of card. Take the card and use a scissors to follow the outline, cutting it about 3mm inside the line so that the finished triangle is slightly smaller than the top of the box. This is now your template. You should only need to do this once!
Use your template to cut 4 triangles for each box. With the favour box flat and facing down, use your tape runner to stick the lace paper behind each triangle panel at the top of the favour box (so that the pattern will face out when you fold it in to place).
Turn your favour box the right way around so that the pattern is facing you. Peel off a number of various size pearls and stick them in to the centre of random laser cut flowers. You should be using about 6 various sizes pearls on each side.
Fold your box in to place with the pattern facing out. You are now ready to fill it.
Once the box is filled, you can secure it closed. For this design, I have used the tape runner to seal it closed and then finished it with a large self adhesive pearl at the top of each point. However, you could also use some ribbon or string to secure it closed with a pretty bow……it’s totally up to you!!
Hope you find this useful and we have been able to demonstrate how simple and easy it is to use and personalise our laser cut ranges. Make sure you look through our DIY Top Tips section of our Wedding Hub for more advice on planning your stationery.
