How to Make – Aquamarine Invitation

Make your own Aquamarine Invitation at home!

Aquamarine is one of my favorite colours. It’s both restful and elegant.
I thoroughly enjoyed working on this range and couldn’t wait to share it with you.

To make this stunning wedding
invitation you will need:

FLAT INVITATION

1 1/2 sheets pearlised white card BUY
1/2 sheet Alessandra Aqua Paper BUY
1/2 sheet Alessandra White Paper BUY
1 Row of Horizon Pearl Self Adhesive Stickers BUY

Other items you may wish to consider:

Double Sided Tape BUY
Paper Trimmer / Scorer BUY
Mini Mounting Pads BUY

INSTRUCTIONS

FLAT INVITATION

– Print your wording on to a sheet of Alessandra White Paper and cut to size. The finished size should be 9.5cm x 9.5cm. Remember to leave a gap underneath the names (for the Horizon Pearl stickers).
You should be able to fit about 4 panels on each sheet of paper.
PLEASE NOTE – you will need to use a laser printer as an ink-jet will smudge!

– Cut a piece of white card to 15cm x 15cm. Cut a second piece of white card to 14.5cm x 14.5cm. Stick together using double sided tape.
– Then cut a piece of Alessandra Aqua paper to 14cm x 14cm and stick on top of your card using double sided tape.

– Again cut a piece of white card 10.25cm x 10.25cm. Cut a second piece of card to 9.75cm x 9.75cm. Stick together using double sided tape.
– Stick your invitation wording on top using double sided tape.
– Peel off a row of Horizon Pearl Stickers and press in to place on the invitation panel.

– Stick mini mounting pads to the back of your invitation panel and press in to place at the centre of the larger panel.

POCKET INVITATION

1 DL Pocket invitation BUY
2/3 sheet Alessandra Aqua paper BUY
1 Small Boston Pearl Embellishment BUY
1 sheet Alessandra White Paper BUY
1 sheets pearlised white card BUY
35mm Bridal White Ribbon BUY

Double Sided Tape BUY

Hot Melt Glue Gun BUY
Mini Mounting Pads BUY

INSTRUCTIONS

POCKET INVITATION

FRONT

– Cut a piece of Alessandra Aqua paper 21cm x 9.75cm. Stick to the bottom flap using double sided tape.
– Cut a piece of Alessandra White paper 21cm wide x 7cm high. Run double sided tape around the top flap of the pocket. Lining up the top edge of your paper with the top edge of your card, stick the Alessandra White Paper on to the flap.
– Use a scissors to carefully cut the overlapping Alessandra White paper so that it is the same size as the top flap.

– Take a length of ribbon about 15cm long. Tie a knot in the middle (not too loose and not too tight!) . Use a scissors to cut each side off to an angle. The finished size of your ribbon should be about 11cm from tip to tip (with the knot at the centre)
– Use your hot melt glue gun to stick the knotted ribbon in to place. You will only need to apply the glue to the knot and then you can press it in to place on the top flap of your card.
– Use your hot melt glue gun to stick your embellishment in to place on top of the knot.

INSIDE

– Print your wording on to a sheet of Alessandra White paper. You should be able to get your invitation panel, Guest information panel and RSVP panel on to one sheet. The finished sizes should be:
– Invitation….16.75cm x 5.75cm
– Guest Information……20cm x 9cm
– RSVP…..11cm x 6.5cm
Once printed, cut to size.

– Cut a piece of Alessandra Aqua to 20.5 x 9.5cm. Stick to the inside panel of the pocket using double sided tape.

– Cut a piece of White Card to 17.25cm x 6.25cm. Use double sided tape to stick your wording panel on to the card.
– Using mini mounting pads, stick your panel on top of the Alessandra Aqua paper.

GUEST INFORMATION

– Cut a piece of white card to 20.5cm x 9.5cm. Use double sided tape to stick the wording panel on to the card.
– Place inside the pocket

RSVP

– Cut a piece of white card to 11.5cm x 7cm. Use double sided tape to stick the wording panel on to the card.
– Place inside the pocket

PLACECARD

1/4 sheet pearlised white card BUY
1/16 sheet Alessandra Aqua paper BUY
1/16 sheet Alessandra White Paper BUY
1/2 row of 4mm self adhesive pearls BUY

INSTRUCTIONS

PLACECARD

– Cut a piece of White Card to 14cm x 9cm. Score and fold in half.
– Cut a piece of Alessandra White paper to 9cm x 4.5cm. Stick to the bottom of the card using double sided tape.
– Cut a piece of Alessandra Aqua paper to 9cm x 3cm. Stick to the top of the card using double sided tape.
– Peel off a row of self adhesive pearls. Starting on one side, press in to place along the join where the two papers meet. Trim off any overlapping pearls.

1 Insert for Invitation Pocket in Pearlised White BUY
1/6 sheet Alessandra Aqua paper BUY
1/6 sheets pearlised white card BUY
1 Medium Arc Buckle BUY
35mm Bridal White Ribbon BUY

Hot Melt Glue Gun BUY

 

INSTRUCTIONS

INVITATION POCKET

– Print your wording on to the insert and slot inside the pocket.
– Cut a piece of white card 8.5cm x 8.5cm.
– Cut a piece of Alessandra Aqua paper to 8cm x 8cm. Stick on top of the white card using double sided tape.

– Cut a piece of ribbon to 13cm. Thread one end through the Arc Buckle. Pull the buckle to the centre of the ribbon, adjusting the ribbon so that it is nicely gathered at each side of the buckle.
– Use your hot melt glue gun to stick the buckle to the centre of your panel.
– Pass the ribbon to the back of the panel and pulling it tight, use the hot melt glue gun to secure it to the back of the card. Make sure that the ribbon stays straight as you do this. Trim off any excess.
– Use double sided tape on the card and glue from the hot melt glue gun on the ribbon and across the middle to glue the panel in to place at the front of your pocket.
