How To Make...Easy Bellefleur Bow Wedding Stationery

Make Easy Bellefleur Bow Wedding Stationery

This gorgeous range of DIY wedding stationery proves that you don't need a lot of fuss to create something really breathtaking!  I love the Bellefleur ribbon that I've used as the main feature for this design.  Basically, if you can tie a bow, you can make this with ease!  And even better, it's pretty cheap to make yourself.
By changing the colour of the card or ribbon, you can easily theme this range in to coordinate with your own special day.
Why not give it a go?

So Here Are The Instructions……

INVITATION

You Will Need:
1 meter of Bellefleur 50mm ribbon in Raspberry (click here)
1 x Aurora Self Adhesive Pearl Embellishment  (click here)

1/2 sheet of Wine Red Card  (click here)
1/2 sheet of Matt Off White Card  (click here)

You Will Also Need:

Paper Trimmer
Tape Runner or Double Sided Tape

Instructions

  1. Firstly print your wording on to Matt Off White Card and cut down to size using your paper trimmer.  Make sure you leave a gap at the top for the embellishment.  The finished size should be 18.5cm x 12.5cm.  If you lay it out carefully, you should be able to print 2 panels on each A4 sheet of card.
  2. Cut a piece of Garnet Card 19cm x 13cm.  Use your tape runner to stick the printed invitation panel on top of the card. After that stick your invitation wording on top of the smallest card panel using a tape runner or double sided tape.
  3. Peel off an Aurora Pearl Self Adhesive Sticker and press firmly in to place at the top centre of your invitation.
  4. Place your ribbon on a flat surface.  Place your invitation on top and then tie a double knot at the front of the card.  You can now tie your bow (I like the loop, swoop and pull method for this!).  You will need to tease your bow in to place, pulling, tightening and readjusting until you are happy with the size and shape.  Once your happy, you can use a sharp scissors to cut an inverted "v" shape at the ends.

LINED ENVELOPE

You Will Need:
1 x 19.4 x 13.5cm envelope  (click here)
1/2 sheet of A4 Paper in the colour of your choice.

You Will Also Need:

Paper Trimmer
Tape Runner or Double Sided Tape
and a sharp scissors, ruler and pencil

  1. First of all place the Garnet paper face down on a flat surface.
  2. Open up your envelope and place it on top of the paper so that the point of the envelope is near the top of the paper. Take a pencil and draw around the outline of the envelope.
  3. Take your scissors and following the line you have just drawn, cut the paper about 1/2 cm smaller at the sides. By the time you have finished, you should end up with a liner shape that is the same shape as your envelope but slightly smaller.
  4. Slide your liner inside the envelope with the chosen paper facing out.
  5. Run a line of double sided tape around the outside edge of your envelope flap (about 1cm in from the edge). Press your envelope liner on to the tape, making sure that it follows the edge, about 0.5cm in from each side.
  6. Lastly you can now fold your envelope closed and press along the crease.
