A hole Punch (e.g Crop a Dile)

Scissors (a sharp one for the ribbon)

A ruler and pencil.

Instructions:

  1. Cut a piece of Matt Off White Card 13cm x 18cm.
  2. Cut a piece of Lois Soft Grey Paper 13cm x 18cm. Use your tape runner to stick the printed paper on to the Card. This will form the invitation backing.
  3. Print your wording on to vellum and cut down to size. The finished size should be 17cm high x 12cm wide with a gap of 4cm at the top (above the first line of printing)
  4. Place your vellum invitation on top of the invitation backing, making sure that all the borders are even. Use a pencil and ruler to mark where you would like the holes for the ribbon to be. On this invitation, we have placed them 2.5cm from the top edge and 3.5cm from the side edges. Holding the backing and the vellum in place, use your hold punch to 2 separate holes for the ribbon to thread through.
  5. Cut 11cm of ivory ribbon with a neat point at each end (this will help you to thread it through the holes you have just made). Push each end of the ribbon through the holes.
  6. Turn the card over so that the back is facing you. Pull the ribbon so that you have an even length each side of the holes. Use your double sided tape or tape runner to stick the ribbon in to place at the back of the card.
