How to Make… Prosperity Wedding Tree Invitation

Prosperity DIY Wedding Tree Invitation in white and black designs.

Wedding Tree Invitation that you can easily make at home.

An oldie but a goodie. I dug this out for a special request as we had made this back on the old website and hadn’t thought to redo the guide. The prosperity laser cut is so different to our other laser cut designs and now has a full stationery range in both the white and black. I’ll try to get a design guide made for the full ranges soon, especially as it is such a versatile and understated laser cut design. We love it <3

INSTRUCTIONS

– Cut your background paper to 17.5cm high x 14cm wide. Fold the left hand side of your paper just over 1.5cm in from the edge. Make sure it is a nice tight crease. Stick double sided tape along the folded 1.5cm section and then stick in to place on the inside of your card, pushing the crease of your backing paper tightly against the fold of the card. You should end up with a loose leaf effect.

– Print your wording on to the invitation insert and slot in to place on the inside of the card.

– Print your front tag on to a sheet of your A4 paper. Lay it out carefully. You should be able to get about 20 tags per A4 sheet. The finished size of each tag should be no more than 6cm wide (including the point of the tag). Once you have your printed sheet, use your paper trimmer to cut the tags down to size, making sure you cut the ends into a point.

FOR THE WHITE DESIGNS

– Cut a tiny piece of Kraft paper from the off-cuts and stick to on the inside of the card (behind the heart) using a glue gun.

– Use your glue gun to glue your tag in to place.

– Make a bow with your string and stick it on top of your tag

FOR THE BLACK DESIGN

– Cut off a tiny piece of your ruby glitter paper and stick it on the inside of the card (behind the heart) using a glue gun.

– Stick a 6.5cm piece of ruby glitter paper on to an offcut from your backing paper. Stick your front tag on top using the tape dispencer. Carefully trim around the edges using a sharp scissors.

– Stick your tag in to place using the hot melt glue gun.

– Make a bow out of your pink hemp cord and stick it in to place on top of the tag.

DIY Top Tip: you can change the colours and papers as you wish to suit your own wedding theme and colours. Just follow the same instructions and buy different papers.
